| The Strange Familiar was formed in 2007 by Kira Leyden and Jeff Andrea. Beginning in elementary school, they've dedicated the past 10 years of their lives writing and performing together, making themselves a staple in their local music scene of Akron, Ohio.
Recently joining forces with bassist Frank Freeman, TSF is primed and ready to break into the national spotlight with their debut EP "You Can't Go Back" (produced by Brian Malouf) chock-full of super-catchy hooks and soulful melodies.
They're already making waves with their single "Courage Is..." as featured on ABC Family's new drama "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" (creator of 7th Heaven). Courage quickly became the top 10 most downloaded rock song on iTunes.
